Puteți să le lăsați și libere dar apoi trebuie să strecurați punch-ul - Puneți la foc mediu și lăsați oala descoperită timp de 15 minute de când e fierbinte sau până simțiți că aromele sunt emanate. Nu trebuie să fierbeți cu clocote.
Pentru cei care doresc un punch alcoolic, se poate adăuga rom brun înainte de a pune punch-ul pe foc.
